In Loving Memory
Babelon's Misty Grace
12/
28/1994 - 11/ 27/2000

They say memories are golden,
well, maybe that is true.
But I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I've cried
if love alone could have saved you,
you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no other dog could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to Heaven
and bring you back again.

Our Gracie came to us in February of 1995. We went to (look) at puppies as I had never had a
Dane, although my hubby had several through the years. Gracie stole my heart and when we were going to leave she stole my purse
causing us to chase her around the yard. That was the beginning of a friendship that was to end much to soon.
Shortly after we brought her home we discovered that she was deaf. She learned hand signals quickly and soon discovered that she had
us wrapped around her paw. She was our heart dog. Her deafness never bothered her, she ran and played with the other dogs and shared
her
love and devotion with all. Though she never saw the inside of a show ring,
she was a champion in her heart and to all that knew her. She was a wonderful
friend and companion. She loved to ride in our van, traveled with us wherever
we went. People would stop to stare at the 2 dogs, (Gracie and Belle) one in the passenger seat one in the drivers seat. They would run for their cameras at rest areas and truck stops to get the picture.
Gracie bloated and torsioned on November 27, 2000,
within 5 hours we had lost her. We were devastated, and still grieve for her.
We know she is waiting for us with our Belle, Midnight and Fred at the Rainbow Bridge.
In God's good time we will see her again.
Mommy and Daddy miss you terribly, sweet, sweet girl.

Have You a dog in heaven, Lord?
And do You pat it's head?
Does she sit up and beg each night
Before she goes to bed?
Does she look up with shining eyes
When she sees Your smiling face?
Does she wag
her stubby little tail
When she wants to run a race?

Have You a dog in heaven, Lord?
Is there room for just one more?
'Cause my little dog died today,
She'll
be waiting at Your door.
Please take her into heaven, Lord,
And keep her there for me,
Just feed her, pet her, love her, Lord,
That's all
she'll ask of Thee. |
